Technology — Teysha's scientists have developed a proprietary material that is renewable, high-performance and certified biodegradable. Its properties can be tuned, so one platform serves very different uses, from eyewear and packaging to cosmetics.
Key Features — Teysha KarmaCane materials are converted into products with existing plastic processing machinery, enabling a practical and resource-efficient transition towards a cleaner future.
Products — What do you want to produce, and how? Choose the product(s) and production method that best suit your needs. Our materials are made from completely natural, non-polluting sugars sourced from waste, and are certified biodegradable under OECD Test Guideline 310.
BPA Replacement — The EU has banned BPA in food-contact materials. The polycarbonate and epoxy resin markets built on it are worth around $40 billion combined, and they need a replacement. Teysha is developing one, BVX, and has filed material patent applications for it worldwide.
Mission Everest — In May 2025, four former special forces soldiers travelled from the UK to the summit of Everest and back in under seven days, wearing sunglasses made from KarmaCane, Teysha's patented sugar-derived biopolymer.
